Crane Inspections
- Perform quality ball ring and critical component evaluation in light of present and future duty cycle.
- Identify discrepancies and make recommendations as needed.
Audit Regulatory Compliance
- Review all inspection, maintenance and report records.
- Verify proper record keeping including crane operator training records, wire rope certification inspection records, rigging equipment traceability, etc.
- Evaluate crane operator responsibilities to take ownership and responsibility to operate a safe, cost effective crane program.
- Identify problems and make recommendations as needed.
Review past maintenance and repair history paperwork to verify if past work has added value to crane inspector, maintenance and operating program.
- Have crane service companies performed well?
- Are crane service companies evaluated by field personnel or office management?
- Could components be repaired in the field or did they need replacement?
- Identify recurring maintenance problems, repetitive component breakdown and perform Root Core Failure Analysis of equipment and recognize the cause to minimize repetitive breakdown in the future.
- Identify what problems other companies have with cranes and how we can learn from their mistakes.
- Make cost effective suggestions to maximize service life and reliability without sacrificing safety.
Provide card with phone and beeper number to allow direct consultation with qualified inspector for help in the field (ie. Heavy lift consultation, maintenance, training repair inspection, record keeping, regulatory requirement interpretation, etc.
